Care That Sees the Whole You — Not Just Your Symptoms

If you’re exploring psychiatric care for the first time — or returning after a difficult experience — you may feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or even a little guarded. That makes complete sense.

Mental health treatment should not feel rushed, impersonal, or one-size-fits-all. You deserve a provider who takes the time to understand your story, respects your pace, and builds a plan around your actual life. That’s exactly what I offer at InnerClarity Psychiatry & Wellness.

I’m Aicha Katty, a dual-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC, FNP-C) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), serving individuals virtually throughout Minnesota and Iowa. My work lives at the intersection of clinical medicine and holistic healing. I offer thoughtful medication management, emotionally supportive care, lifestyle guidance, and integrative wellness strategies for adults navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, mood disorders, and more.

What Makes My Care Different

I didn’t come to this work through textbooks alone. Personal loss, cultural identity, and deep resilience shaped my path into healthcare — and those experiences inform every aspect of how I practice today. I know what it feels like to sit on the other side. To need help and not know where to turn. To carry invisible weight while the world expects you to keep going.

That lived experience gives me a perspective many providers simply don’t have. I evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications for mental health conditions — but my role goes beyond clinical tasks. I bring together medical expertise, personal understanding, and a holistic nursing foundation to help you find lasting relief and genuine resilience.

I am not a traditional therapist — but I offer deeply supportive, emotionally attuned care within every session.

What You Can Expect in My Care

Thoughtful Medication Management

Starting medication is a significant decision, and I do not rush it. Before we consider prescribing, I take time to understand you — your symptoms, your goals, your history, your fears. If medication is the right step, I explain exactly what I’m recommending and why, start at the lowest effective dose, and adjust gradually based on how your body and mind respond.

You remain an active partner in this process. Your questions will be taken seriously. Your comfort matters before we move forward.

And when the conversation arises about stepping down or discontinuing medication, I guide that process with equal care — because deprescribing requires just as much clinical attention as starting. It’s also important to know that tapering is not always the right path; some conditions are best managed with ongoing medication, and staying on treatment that supports your stability is a completely valid choice. Emotionally Supportive Care

I am not a therapist in the traditional sense — but I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can speak freely about what you’re carrying. Many of my clients tell me this is the part of their care that matters most: simply having someone listen without rushing to fix.

In our sessions, I help you process what you’re feeling, build coping strategies that fit your real life, and develop the emotional resilience to navigate what comes next. For more on how this supports specific conditions like anxiety, depression, or burnout, visit my Mental Health Support page.

Holistic Wellness Strategies

Mental wellness doesn’t live in the mind alone. It’s deeply connected to how you breathe, sleep, move, and relate to your body. I integrate gentle, practical mind-body techniques into your care, including:

These are not abstract concepts — they’re specific, doable strategies that help you feel more present and capable, even in challenging moments.

Lifestyle Coaching

You won’t leave our sessions with a list of rigid rules or unrealistic expectations. Instead, we’ll co-create small, meaningful shifts in areas that directly affect how you feel:

My focus is on your progress, not perfection. Every small step you take is worth celebrating.

Nutritional Guidance

Your brain is part of your body — and what you eat has a direct impact on your mood, energy, focus, and sleep. Whether you’re managing a mental health condition, exploring weight management, or simply want to feel better physically, we’ll take a gentle, non-restrictive approach to nutrition that supports both your mind and body.

No shame. No rigid diets. Just curiosity, compassion, and practical guidance tailored to your life

Lab Testing & Evidence-Based Supplements

Sometimes the root of how you’re feeling is partly physical — a vitamin deficiency, a hormonal imbalance, chronic inflammation. I may recommend targeted lab testing to uncover what may be happening beneath the surface, including:

Based on your results, I may suggest evidence-based nutraceuticals — professional-grade supplements that gently support your brain, nervous system, and overall health. This integrative approach helps us treat the full picture, not just the visible symptoms.

Get in Touch

Whether you’re new to mental health care or you’ve been managing symptoms for years, my goal is to meet you with respect, clarity, and genuine care. You don’t have to have it all figured out — and you won’t be pressured into a treatment that doesn’t feel right.

My role is to listen deeply, guide gently, and walk alongside you. Together, we’ll build a path that honors your story, your pace, and your vision of wellness.
