Many adults seeking an ADHD evaluation aren’t looking for a quick label — they’re looking for answers. You may have spent years feeling scattered, overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or frustrated by inconsistent performance, despite being capable, motivated, and hardworking. You’ve probably wondered: Is this ADHD, burnout, anxiety — or something else entirely?
My evaluation process is designed for individuals who want clarity, not assumptions. For those who value a careful, evidence-informed assessment that looks beyond surface-level symptoms and considers how their brain actually functions.
ADHD in adults doesn’t always look like hyperactivity. It can present as difficulty sustaining focus, poor task initiation, mental fatigue, forgetfulness, emotional reactivity, procrastination, or chronic overwhelm. These symptoms frequently overlap with anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep disruption, or chronic stress — which is exactly why a thorough evaluation matters before reaching conclusions.
Many ADHD evaluations rely heavily on self-report questionnaires or brief clinical interviews alone. While these tools are helpful, they don’t always tell the full story.
What distinguishes my approach is the integration of comprehensive clinical interviewing with objective cognitive performance testing (CPT). This allows me to assess both your lived experience and how your brain performs under structured conditions — providing a more nuanced and accurate understanding of attention, focus, processing speed, and executive functioning.
My goal is not to rush to a diagnosis. It’s to give you clarity, confidence, and clinically sound recommendations you can trust.
After completing required intake forms and questionnaires, you’ll attend an initial intake visit where we review your history, current concerns, symptoms across settings, and relevant developmental, academic, occupational, and mental health factors.
This visit helps determine whether ADHD is a primary concern or whether other factors may better explain your symptoms.
If ADHD remains a clinical consideration, you’ll be scheduled for a dedicated follow-up visit that includes in-depth assessment and cognitive performance testing. This testing provides objective data on attention, impulse control, processing speed, and executive functioning.
This step is especially valuable when symptoms are complex, longstanding, or overlapping with anxiety, mood conditions, or burnout.
A final follow-up visit is scheduled to review testing results, clinical impressions, and individualized recommendations. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the findings and concrete next steps — whether that includes confirmation of ADHD, alternative explanations for your symptoms, or targeted strategies for support.
An ADHD evaluation should feel collaborative, respectful, and grounded in both clinical expertise and real-world functioning. This process is designed to give you clarity — and recommendations that reflect the full picture of who you are, not just a checklist of symptoms.
The cognitive performance test is available on a cash-pay basis only and is not billed through insurance. This ensures that testing is accessible, timely, and fully focused on providing accurate, actionable results without the constraints of insurance approval or coverage limitations.
